Honors & Awards

Southern Illinois Asphalt Company (SIAC), a subsidiary of Delta Companies, earned the Safety Achievement Award from the Associated General Contractors of Illinois.  Awards were presented during its 110th Annual Convention for the lowest incident rate in each of seven categories, which are defined by the total number of man-hours worked during the  reporting period.  SIAC was recognized for outstanding safety performance, in the 50,000 to 74,999 hours category, during the 2016 construction season. 
 
Delta Asphalt of Arkansas, a subsidiary of Delta Companies, has been awarded a Diamond Achievement Commendation for Excellence in Asphalt Plant/Site Operations for 2012 by the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) for the plants in the following locations:

 • Black Rock
 • Clinton
 • Luxora
 • Paragould
 • Searcy
 • Tuckerman

The Diamond Achievement Commendation program demonstrates to employees, neighboring communities, customers, and the asphalt paving industry, that Delta is dedicated to responsible operational practices and continuous improvement. The commendation covers operations both at the manufacturing plant and around the plant site. Congratulations and thank you for your commitment to making a quality product at a quality facility!
 
Delta Concrete Inc, a subsidiary of Delta Companies, has been awarded a Gold Excellence in Safety by the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) for the following plants:

 • Kennett Ready Mix
 • Poplar Bluff Ready Mix
 • Sikeston Ready Mix

The Excellence in Safety Award program was created in 1996 to provide national recognition for ready mixed concrete plants that foster safe practices and have great safety records. The Gold category indicates an incident rate equal to zero. Noteworthy: there were only three facilities in the state of Missouri to be recognized in this manner and Delta was all three! Congratulations!

 
Williamsville Quarry, a subsidiary of Delta Companies, was awarded a Bronze Excellence in Community Relations for 2012 by the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA). The community award recognizes aggregate producers whose community involvement and support activities enhanced the public's perception of the aggregates industry and the public image of the individual producer's aggregate operation. Noteworthy: there were only two facilities in the state of Missouri recognized by NSSGA in this manner - the other facility was Southeast Missouri Stone.
 
Williamsville Quarry, a subsidiary of Delta Companies, earned a Silver Environmental Excellence Award for 2012 by the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA). The environmental award provides national recognition for aggregate producers that meet and exceed technical, environmental and regulatory requirements. The site is judged on the following criteria: Fundamental Environmental Programs; Employee Training; Site Best Management Practices; Facility Environmental Outreach Programs; Environmental Results and Environmental Management Systems. Noteworthy: there were only two facilities in the state of Missouri recognized by NSSGA in this manner - the other facility was Southeast Missouri Stone.

Delta Asphalt of Arkansas, a subsidiary of Delta Companies, was presented with the 2012 State Winner Multi-Lane Interstate Award by the Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association. This award was received for the work on Highway 55 in Blytheville, Arkansas, on April 4, 2013. Congratulations!
 
Delta Asphalt of Arkansas, a subsidiary of Delta Companies, earned a Quality in Construction Award for 2012 from the National Asphalt Paving Association (NAPA). The project which received this award included the rehabilitation of 5.2 miles of Interstate 55 in Mississippi County, South of US 61 to North of US 18. By reusing the materials from the dug-out areas as a base and incorporating reclaimed asphalt pavement and slag into the asphalt mixes, Delta Asphalt of Arkansas was able to promote green paving while still producing a high-quality, smooth asphalt pavement.
 
Southern Illinois Asphalt Company (SIAC), a subsidiary of Delta Companies, received a Quality in Construction Award for 2012 from the National Asphalt Paving Association (NAPA). SIAC earned this award for the construction of a new four-lane, full-depth pavement on Illinois 13 through Harrisburg, from Lover's Lane Road to Granger Street and from US 45 to Pankey Branch Bridge. SIAC’s achievement of high-quality work is attributed to high-quality asphalt pavement and best practices.
