Delta Companies strives to use natural resources in a responsible manner and promotes a culture of environmental awareness throughout its organization and in its day-to-day operations. Our operations are conducted in ways to minimize any impacts to our surrounding air, land, and water. All divisions are encouraged to obtain environmental stewardship awards from various industry organizations.
The company has an excellent working relationship with state and federal environmental regulatory agencies such as the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, the Arkansas Department of Natural Resources, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Staff are regularly sent to seminars and training sessions to keep current with changing environmental policies and to learn new ways to always meet and surpass regulatory requirements.
The Company has attained Diamond Achievement Awards for operating asphalt plants. The Award is nationally recognized throughout the industry for well run, environmentally aware and attractive plants. The Delta Companies Mining Division has also completed numerous mine reclamation projects.
Future plans involve implementing a company-wide Environmental Management System.
