Medical Benefits:
Delta and employees share the cost of insurance premiums for all full-time employees. Delta also pays a portion of the dependents premium. Health insurance coverage begins the first of the month following completion of 30 days of full-time employment for administrative employees; and coverage begins the first of the month following 90 days of employment for operational employees.
Prescription Drug Benefits:
Delta provides a drug prescription program with the medical insurance coverage. The participant will pay their share of the prescription cost depending if the prescription is for generic brand, preferred brand name or non-preferred brand name drug respectively. There is also a Mail Order option for purchasing prescriptions for multiple months, at a savings.
Life Insurance:
Delta provides employee life insurance coverage which is effective the first day of employment. This policy includes an accidental death, dismemberment and loss of sight clause. A supplement policy for employees and their dependents may be purchased at the expense of the employee.
Retirement:
Delta provides retirement benefits to full-time employees through Prudential.
